New research shows travellers are leaving over 70% of their loyalty points unused.
In 2016 so far, that means over 195 billion points.
This data comes from Switchfly, the travel-commerce and loyalty platform that powers airlines like American Airlines, Emirates and JetBlue, and loyalty programs such as United MileagePlus, InterContinental Hotels Group, Starwood Hotels and Expedia.
According to Switchfly over a trillion points have been gone unredeemed since 2010.
